A woman with long hair, wearing a black hat, turquoise earrings, and a patterned vest, standing outdoors during sunset.

Hi, my name is Tiera, and I LOVE to thrift.

Even more than that, I love putting outfits together with my thrifted treasures — all the different textures and colors. I often say I let my inner 5-year-old dress me — and she never disappoints.

At it’s heart, Witch Way Apothecary was born from necessity — learning how to make beauty, creativity, and self-expression from what was already available to me. Thrifting wasn’t just a way to save money; it became a way to listen inward, to trust my eye, and to remember that I could create something meaningful without buying into sameness or excess. Over time, that necessity turned into devotion — to sustainability, individuality, and the belief that caring for ourselves, our bodies, and our expression is not frivolous…it’s a form of reclamation.

Witch Way Apothecary started with my organic body oil blends. I was making my own and giving them away as birthday gifts — a love language of mine. Eventually, I started getting requests to make more so family and friends could purchase them, and Sagenfrauen was born.

Sagenfrauen loosely translates to wise women. My maiden name is Kunz — German/Swiss — and I chose Sagenfrauen as a way to honor my lineage. Wise women felt like the perfect way to do that.

I also make jewelry — again, originally creating pieces to gift — until I was asked to make some for purchase, and here we are. Creativity is one of the many ways I express myself, and my handmade jewelry is always one of a kind. That’s what keeps it fun and enjoyable for me.

One of my favorite ways to shop is pre-loved. I’ll put on a good audiobook and wander for hours, always coming out with fun treasures. The majority of the clothing I wear — and curate for the shop — is pre-loved and vintage. My vibe, I’ve been told many, many times, is very 70’s — and I happily own that compliment. I love knowing that shopping pre-loved supports sustainable fashion and keeps beautiful items out of landfills.

I’ve become someone who wears the outfits — even if I’m “just” staying home all day. I want to feel like a fuck yes no matter what I’m doing. I’m worth caring for in that way. We all are. This shop is an invitation to remember that — to treat self-expression as a daily act of care, not something reserved for special occasions.

My goal is to inspire others through rituals of self-care, and to help awaken the creative expression that lives within us all — especially in a world that so often asks us to rush past ourselves, blend in, or earn our worth.

This past summer, I was a vendor at Brighton’s flea market selling my body oils and jewelry. On a whim, I brought half my closet with me — and to my surprise and delight, it was a hit. Since then, I’ve continued working vintage markets around Salt Lake City, alongside running my online shop, which allows me to share my offerings with people far beyond Utah.

That also explains why much of the inventory currently falls within a certain size range — it truly began as shop my closet, literally — and I’m actively working toward becoming more size-inclusive as the shop grows.

My eventual goal with the store is to pair outfits so you can really see my vision — so stay tuned, and feel free to add your email via the form below to sign up for my newsletter.

If you have any questions about items in the shop, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d genuinely love to hear from you.

When I’m not curating vintage treasures or crafting oils, I’m walking beside clients as a somatic coach. My work at Heart in Bloom is the deeper 'inside' version of what this shop is on the 'outside' — the process of shedding old layers, unraveling conditioning, and reclaiming your authentic self. You can explore that side of my work here. And to find your way back, just click the store link at Heart In Bloom.

Thanks for being here — welcome to my cauldron of magic.
